We are generally private and reserved, but we want to open up and be vulnerable for a moment. We are high school sweethearts who started dating in 2009 and married in 2017. Like many millennials, we became dog parents first by adopting our rescue pit bull, Capone, and now we are eager to grow our family further by having a baby.
After years of hope, trying, and enduring loss, we are preparing for one final round of IVF—our last chance to expand our family using our own eggs and sperm. We have faced both the heartbreak of miscarriage and the emotional toll of infertility. We have already undergone two rounds of IVF: one frozen cycle that did not succeed and a fresh transfer that ended in miscarriage at nine weeks. Natural conception is not an option for us due to premature diminished ovarian reserve (I was born with one ovary, resulting in half the usual egg supply) and issues with sperm motility and morphology.
While our resolve is strong, we face a significant obstacle: our insurance will not cover another IVF cycle, and the $25,000 cost is more than we can manage on our own. We have some savings and help from my family. However we would appreciate any additional help we can get.
Despite these challenges, we still have hope. This is our final opportunity, and we want to give it everything.
The funds raised will go directly toward:
– IVF medications and monitoring
– The egg retrieval and embryo transfer procedures
– ICSI and lab fertilization fees
– PGTA, embryo freezing, and any additional testing if needed
We’re not giving up—and with your help, we don’t have to. Whether you can donate or share our story, your support brings us one step closer to the family we’ve dreamed of.
With love and deep gratitude,
Kaitlyn & Nathan 💕
