Campaign Story

My name is Hannah Dorsey. I’m in my 30’s, living in Northwest Ohio with my husband, Allen, and our beautiful toddler daughter, Charlotte.

Our journey to grow our family has been a path filled with so much love, but also heartbreak. After years of grappling with infertility, we were overjoyed to welcome Charlotte into our lives through IVF. Holding her for the first time was a moment of indescribable joy; she truly is the light of our lives.

We had four embryos from our IVF cycle, and our first transfer blessed us with Charlotte. However, the journey did not remain smooth. The last two transfers have ended in loss, leaving us with a deep sense of grief and longing. Now, we find ourselves with just one precious embryo left.

I grew up with siblings, as did my husband. Neither of us can imagine our lives without them. With the weight of our dreams for Charlotte to have a sibling to share her childhood adventures with, grow with, and have a lifelong friend, we would like to prepare for another treatment cycle.

The emotional and financial burden of treatment is heavy. Each step is filled with uncertainty, but we hold onto the belief that our dreams and prayers can become a reality. Funds raised would not only help alleviate some of the financial strain, but also bring us closer to the beautiful possibility of expanding our family. It would mean everything to us – to give Charlotte a sibling, and to create a fuller, richer family experience together.
