Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Mackenzie, and my wife’s name is Haley, and welcome to our story of motherhood. Haley and I have been together for five years. Since day one, it’s been our dream to start a family. We are ready to start a family of our own and build memories of our own. We are excited to create a new chapter in our life. But we had a little pause in our journey due to me. I have pre-diabetes and PCO; Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is when the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens. So, in this case, it’s a little bit harder to get pregnant. It might take up to two and a half years to get pregnant. Also, the doctors wanted me to get on the right track with my pre-diabetes. When I get pregnant, there is a chance I will probably have diabetes. But now that we are on the right path to carrying a healthy baby, we are making this fundraiser to help us through our IUI journey. So, my insurance doesn’t cover infertility. I  have to pay all expenses out-of-pocket. First, thank friends and family for all the support we get through this journey and your help in creating a journey of having baby Gibson. As unique as our family and friends are, we will be making a quilt of this beautiful moment in life. As people donate, we will take a square fabric and sew that family or person’s name into the quilt. To remember everyone who helped us make this dream come true of ours.
