Campaign Story

Hi guys! My name is Briana, and my wife’s name is Victoria (Vic). I’m an RN, and she is the manager of her brother’s business, which she absolutely loves. We’ve been together for 7 and a half years, and married for a year and a half. I have had baby fever since I was 18 (I’m now almost 31). There is nothing we want more in this world than to have children. It’s been hard watching everyone our age get pregnant and have kids when we want to so badly, but aren’t able to do so naturally. Unfortunately, we don’t have the privilege to get pregnant without having to pay an arm and a leg ( We would gladly sell one of our body parts at this point). We have recently started our journey to start a family. Our plan is to do reciprocal IVF (her bun, my oven), and IUI with me using the same donor so our children have some biological connection. My goal is three children, though if you ask she’ll tell you two. We’ve gone through all of the testing, lab work, imaging, genetic testing, and unfortunately she has a very low egg count. Our Doctor said he’s hoping for 8-10 eggs from her, but he thinks it will likely be less. This has rocked us, as IVF is not covered by our insurance, and we originally planned to do IUI first, so we don’t have the kind of money saved that we need to pay for IVF. But given the situation, reciprocal IVF is going to be the route we go for our first baby. We’re trying our best, but it’s hard to save in today’s economy with having to pay rent and bills. We feel very overwhelmed, and quite honestly defeated, and aren’t quite sure how we’re going to come up with the money we need, but know in the end we‘ll do what we have to do to figure it out. I’m here to ask for your compassion, kindness, and generosity in donating whatever you can to help us make a dent in the cost of our fertility journey.
