First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes…. Infertility & IVF….

Hi, If you don’t already know us, we are the Elam’s. I, Rachel, and my husband Curtis thank you for taking the time to read our infertility/IVF story. Curtis and I met back in late 2017 and married soon after in 2020. Since then we have been trying to add the final piece to our family and have unfortunately run into roadblock after roadblock. Curtis had a vasectomy after he and his ex-wife had their last baby, thinking that was going to be it, and then well…. life. They got divorced, we met, fell in love, married and now we are wanting to finish our beautiful blended family. In 2021 Curtis underwent a surgery to reverse his vasectomy, unfortunately the procedure was unsuccessful. We did the research and thought maybe it just needed the extra time to heal. That turned out not to be the case. Just a few months ago he underwent a second surgery attempt. We were heartbroken again, to learn that chances are increasing that yet again, this one did not take either. Luckily, thinking ahead, we asked the surgeon if he could remove and freeze sperm if any was present when he was doing the surgery. There was, and he did! Our last little vials of hope! The surgeon has again said Curtis could heal over time but unfortunately time is not really on our side as I am getting older. We have been informed that IVF at this point may be our best and only option at a chance at getting pregnant and adding the final piece to our family puzzle. So, here we are, humbly asking and hoping you will find it in your hearts to help us with the financial burden as we continue on this emotional infertility rollercoaster and start our IVF journey. All Donations received through this fundraising effort will go towards the direct cost of the IVF process, including medications and procedures and hopefully towards a healthy pregnancy and birth of our Miracle Baby.
