Ricardo and I began our journey together in 2015, and over the past ten years, I’ve had the joy of witnessing what an incredible father he is. While raising my daughter from a previous marriage, I watched Ricardo embrace her as his own—with patience, kindness, and unconditional love. His devotion to our family has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and it deepened our shared dream of having a child together.

In 2022, we decided it was time to grow our family. I had my IUD removed and eagerly began tracking my cycle, learning the ins and outs of fertility, and doing everything “right.” Month after month, I charted temperatures, took ovulation tests, and hoped this would finally be the one. But after a year of trying without success, I knew something wasn’t right.

Initial fertility testing showed that everything appeared normal, so we were told to keep trying. Another year went by—filled with heartbreak, uncertainty, and quiet grief—before a new round of testing finally revealed the truth. Both of my fallopian tubes were blocked and filled with fluid, a condition known as hydrosalpinx, which makes natural conception impossible. To protect my health and improve my future chances through IVF, I underwent a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy to have both tubes removed.

The news was devastating, but it also gave us clarity: IVF is our only path to having a child together. Despite the emotional and physical challenges, our hope remains unwavering. We’re ready to move forward with treatment and bring our dream to life—but the financial burden of IVF is overwhelming.
