Campaign Story

My name is Amanda and my wife is Dominique. We have been trying to conceive using a sperm donor with no luck. So we decided to go to the doctor. My wife desperately wanted to carry our child, however, she has health issues is is preventing her from doing so. The doctor said that IF she eventually got pregnant the baby is almost guaranteed to have sever deformities, if baby survives at all. This was heartbreaking to us. Due to her multiple prior blood transfusions it has prevented her from conceiving along with her diabetes. We have decided for me to carry our child. It has been recommended to do IVF due to my blocked tubes. We put all of our time into wildlife rehabbing to save orphaned babies, raise and release them. (Yes, we are licensed). Although we love the fur babies while we have them we desperately want a baby of our own. We both full time have good jobs and schedules we have the family support to raise a child. The only thing missing is the funds to make it happen. We will be using IVF Florida, I am also working with my insurance company to see what if anything will be covered. My insurance does cover prenatal care and baby will be added to my insurance. My wife’s mother would love to have a grand baby from us. After all she never thought it would be possible. Having help to pay for IVF would make our family complete and our dreams come true. With the odd stacked against us having a child will be nothing short of a miracle and the greatest blessing of all.
