Campaign Story

Hello! My partner and I are two trans people in our early and mid twenties. I am nonbinary, and was born a woman. I previously underwent hormone therapy. My partner is a trans woman who has been on hormones for over a year. Earlier this year, we decided we want to start our family. My girlfriend even took a 6 month break from hormone replacement therapy in order to freeze viable sperm! But I was diagnosed with PCOS, which has made it really hard to get pregnant even with better sperm quality. We have gone through one IUI and two rounds of medicated cycles with no luck. We are going to keep trying IUIs, but my doctor has recommended IVF and thinks we have a really good chance of pregnancy due to my egg quality being high. As a recent college graduate, I do not have the money for IVF but I would cherish any assistance in affording it, as each negative test is so heart breaking. It’s incredibly difficult not to feel like my body is failing me, but as everyone who struggles with infertility, it is important to try not to dwell in feelings of self hatred. I would love and appreciate any help towards welcoming our baby into the world with all my heart!!! Me and my partner wish to remain anonymous for safety reasons, but we are glad to provide proof and verification upon request.
