I am writing to you today with a vulnerable and hopeful heart, sharing my deeply personal journey towards starting a family and seeking your support. My dream of becoming a parent has been a long and arduous one, marked by both triumphs and setbacks. Now, I find myself at a pivotal moment where I need your help to make that dream a reality.

Three years ago, I took the first step towards fulfilling my desire to care for children by pursuing foster parenting. At the time, I wasn’t certain if I wanted to have my own biological children, but my passion for providing a loving and nurturing environment for children in need was unwavering. Little did I know that this decision would set me on a path that would forever change my life.

During the mandatory physical examination for foster parenting, a routine check uncovered a lump in my uterus. What began as a seemingly simple paperwork requirement turned into a year-long journey of medical investigations and emotional roller coasters. Eventually, it was determined that I had an 11 cm fibroid tumor that required immediate surgical removal.

The surgery was successful, but it marked the beginning of an emotional and physical battle that I had never anticipated. Over the next two years, I poured my heart and soul into trying to conceive naturally, only to be met with disappointment month after month. Each negative pregnancy test felt like a blow to my hopes and dreams, and the weight of infertility settled heavily upon my shoulders.

Now, as I stand at this crossroad, I am turning to in vitro fertilization (IVF) as my beacon of hope. IVF offers the possibility of overcoming the hurdles that have stood in my path and fulfilling my deepest longing—to experience the joy of parenthood and provide a loving home for a child. However, the financial burden associated with IVF is significant, and it is a challenge I cannot face alone.
