Our Journey to Complete Our Family

Life has a way of steering us down unexpected paths, and our journey toward growing our family has been no exception. My name is shyann mace and my husband and I are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters who light up our lives in ways words could never fully describe. But now, we’re holding onto a dream of welcoming a baby boy to complete our family—a dream that has brought us to this moment of seeking assistance for IVF.

Years ago, when my husband and I thought our family was complete, I visited my doctor to discuss permanent birth control. At the time, I asked about getting my tubes tied—a decision I believed was the best for us. However, my doctor removed my fallopian tubes entirely due to the solely not listening to my wishes unaware that one day my heart would ache for another child. And wishing the DR would have done what I have asked as it would have been less expensive to have our baby boy

As time went on, our family felt perfect in so many ways. Our daughters bring us immense joy, laughter, and love every day. Yet, there has always been a little piece missing. The desire for a baby boy to complete our family became more than just a wish; it became a calling we couldn’t ignore. But with my fallopian tubes removed, natural conception is no longer an option, leaving us to explore the possibilities that IVF offers.

Our journey hasn’t been easy, as I’ve learned to juggle the demands of being a full-time working mom and a nursing student. Nursing has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. The thought of providing compassionate care to others, especially in labor and delivery or the NICU, has fueled my determination to succeed in school, even during the most challenging days.

Balancing my responsibilities as a mother, a wife, a student, and a professional has been both exhausting and rewarding. Every day, I strive to show my daughters the importance of hard work and resilience. I want them to know that dreams are worth pursuing, no matter the obstacles. My husband and I work tirelessly to provide for our family, but the financial burden of IVF is beyond what we can manage on our own.

The possibility of bringing a son into our family through IVF fills us with hope. It’s not just about completing our family—it’s about fulfilling a dream that has grown in our hearts for years. I can already imagine the joy of holding him in my arms, introducing him to his sisters, and watching our family embrace this new chapter of love and togetherness.

As I reflect on our journey, I am reminded of the incredible strength that comes from love and perseverance. My husband and I have always believed in working together to overcome life’s challenges, and this is no different. We’ve faced heartbreak, uncertainty, and fear, but we’ve never given up on the hope of growing our family.

IVF is the bridge to the family we’ve always envisioned, and we are deeply grateful for the chance to be considered for this life-changing support.

We have so much love to give, and our daughters are just as excited about the possibility of welcoming a baby brother into our family. Together, we are ready to embrace this journey, and we are hopeful that one day soon, our dream will come true.
