Campaign Story

My name is Amanda, and I have endometriosis and diminished ovarian reserve. Endometriosis is a common health condition in women where tissues grow outside of the uterus, causing pain and sometimes infertility. Diminished ovarian reserve, or DOR, is a condition in women in which the ovary loses its normal reproductive potential causing infertility. Essentially it means I have fewer eggs left than most women my age. Both endo and DOR are irreversible and so far, incurable.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 years now, but I have been on the infertility journey for 13 years, having been diagnosed with endo when I was 23. We unfortunately suffered a miscarriage last year, and have had 2 failed IVF cycles since then. 13 years has been a long time to struggle with the physical and mental pain of infertility, but i refuse to give up until I hold the little baby of my dreams in my arms, and see my stepson hold his little brother or sister.

I am asking for your help on this journey by donating to our fundraiser. We are seeking assistance with the financial burden of IVF, and it would mean the world to us if you could help.
