Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Destiny, and I’m sharing our story with hope, honesty, and a humble request for support.

Kasey and I have dreamed of becoming parents since the day we met, seriously! We started talking and we just knew. Since then, we’ve built a life filled with love and stability, but due to medical circumstances—including a medically necessary hysterectomy—carrying a pregnancy isn’t possible for me. After many difficult conversations and consultations with specialists, we’ve been given a path forward: IVF and ICSI with a gestational carrier (surrogate).

This path gives us real hope—but it also comes with overwhelming costs that insurance simply does not cover.

Where Your Support Goes

While some initial medical steps have been started, the majority of our journey is financially out of reach without help. We are raising funds to cover:

* Gestational Carrier Costs
Compensation, Agency fees, medical care, gestational carrier insurance, and support for the incredible woman helping us carry our baby ($80,000)
* Legal Fees
Required contracts and protections for both us and our gestational carrier ($7-10k)
* Uncovered IVF Expenses
Fertility medications, which for me cost in excess of $1000.00, embryo creation ($3000), monitoring ($250 each visit), and egg retrieval costs ($3-5k).

The total cost for this journey can exceed $80,000–$120,000, and despite saving and doing everything we can, it’s more than we can manage alone. $50,000 is our remaining costs and while we would love if our entire journey was covered we remain humble and would appreciate any amount given in support of us starting our family.

Why This Matters So Much

This isn’t just about medical treatment.
This is about finally having the chance to become a family.

It’s about hearing our baby’s heartbeat for the first time. It’s about holding our child, reading bedtime stories, going on adventures and building a home filled with love, laughter, and life.

Kasey and I met after leaving abusive relationships and going on a spiritual journey to heal ourselves and release our inner child. From the day we met we knew we were each other’s person. Everything just fit, the universe and God opened so many doors to allow us to be together, we wasted no time planning for a family and building our future together.

Before meeting Kasey, I had to have a hysterectomy and gave up on my dreams of building a family. I didn’t understand it back then, but I always believed that everything happens for a reason. That marriage ended and then Kasey came into my life. Through the IVF process we learned that we would need to use ICSI to help create our embryos. Kasey had no idea that his sperm quality was how it was and would need a partner to do IVF with him anyways. The lightbulb went off and I realized this is the reason I didn’t understand years ago.

I know we are meant to have a child together, we just need a little extra help doing it. I am currently 38 and will be 39 in August, I’ve exhausted what was left of my 401k after the divorce trying to make this dream come true but we just cant do it alone anymore. After my last round of testing the doctor informed us that we are in a now or never situation. My biological clock is ticking, and I’m terrified we are going to miss out on the chance to be parents.

For those that have gone through IVF, you know how emotionally and mentally draining this journey can be. For us, Kasey won’t get to experience running to the store to help satisfy cravings, he won’t get to feel the baby kick or read to my belly at night. I won’t be able to soothe our baby in my womb with the lullaby of my heartbeat or feel them growing and kicking.

But, with your help, we can afford to find a Gestational Carrier and build a relationship with her and still get to make it to doctor’s appointments and sonograms and at the end of it all, have a lifelong friend and a child of our own to raise.

How You Can Help

If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it truly brings us closer to our goal. Every contribution directly supports the journey to bring our baby into this world.

If donating isn’t possible, sharing our story means just as much. The more people who see this, the closer we get to making this dream a reality.

From the Bottom of Our Hearts—Thank You

This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to ask for, but also the most important.

Your kindness, generosity, and support mean everything to us. We promise to keep you updated every step of the way—and we hope one day to introduce you to the little life you helped make possible.

With love and gratitude,
Destiny & Kasey 💛
