My name is Amanda. My husband and I have been together for 7 years,married for 6. In August of 2022 I suffered an ectopic pregnancy. I had to be admitted to the hospital and was given a chemo drug to help my body re-absorb the pregnancy. Thankfully this did work and I did not have to go in for surgery.
I do have 3 children from a previous marriage and unfortunately was talked into having a tubal ligation. I knew this wasn’t the decision I wanted to make,but felt it was what I had to do.
Last year, in March of 2023, my husband and I contacted a clinic in South Carolina about getting a tubal reversal. I sent over my Operative Report from my ligation and was told that I didn’t have enough healthy tube remains to have a reversal done. This absolutely broke my heart. I soon realized that IVF is our only option at having a child together.
I’ve always longed to have a child to share with my husband. I want to share that connection with him and see the life we’ve created. Unfortunately, we are unable to afford IVF as it is very expensive. We both work very hard every day to make sure we have everything we need,but we have a piece missing in our hearts, a piece to our puzzle.
I am a preschool teacher and I absolutely love my job. Working with all my sweet little students everyday makes my heart so full. My husband is a truck driver and we spend many nights apart while he’s trying to help make ends meet for our family.
