Campaign Story

My name is Amber, and my husband Kirk and I have been dreaming of becoming parents for eight long years. Since my teenage years, I’ve struggled with PCOS, but I never imagined how deeply it would challenge our hopes of building a family together. This journey has been an emotional rollercoaster—filled with nights spent praying, moments of doubt, and the heartbreaking feeling that my body has failed us. Through it all, Kirk has been my rock, but it hurts to feel like I can’t give him the family he deserves. We hold strong to our faith and believe in God’s timing, but after three rounds of failed IUIs—each complicated by cysts that made conception even harder—we’ve been told that IVF is our best and only chance. It’s humbling to admit we need help, but the financial barrier feels insurmountable. We both work hard—I’ve been an office manager at a dental clinic for six years, and Kirk is a crane operator—but like so many families in Louisiana, our insurance offers no fertility coverage. Loans come with high interest rates and payments we simply can’t manage. We’re turning to you, our community, with open hearts.
