Campaign Story

My name is Rachelle, and I have endometriosis. Endometriosis is a common health condition in women where tissues grow outside the uterus causing pain and often infertility. I had endometriosis surgery March of 2021 where my gynecologist had cut out majority of my endometriosis and then burned it, however it has returned. My left fallopian is also closed, which makes it even more difficult for me to conceive. My spouse and I have been trying to conceive for about 3 years with no success. I have started the process of infertility which is very costly and will require myself and my spouse to miss work for appointments which we will not get paid for. I  wish that for my spouse and I to have a family of our own one day.  I will be 31 and my spouse will be 36. We have several nieces and nephews and 1 great niece who we love and spoil so much; yet it’s not the same as we pray everyday to have children of our own. I was adopted so I don’t know a lot of my history so genetic testing will also be involved which is pricy.  My insurance would cover the IUI process, however that isn’t an option for us due to my underline health issues leading to infertility.  We are financially stable to raise a child but the burden of the high cost of infertility is what we are experiencing and high cost loans aren’t the best chances as the monthly cost to pay the loan is also high.
