Campaign Story

My name is Khaleda. I am a cancer survivor who have been diagnosed with POF (premature Ovarian Failure). At age of 16, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and was hospitalized for 2 years where I received many rounds of chemo therapies and other treatments. Also, as a part of the treatment, I had to go under the surgery with Salpingo-Oophorectomy (both flopping tubes and one ovary was removed. Later at age of 25, I was diagnosed with infertility and was told that due to POF, I was at the menoposual stage where motherhood with naturally conceiving was not a possible option anymore.

This was the hardest news to hear for any young woman who has so many hopes and vision in her life. I am 1 of the 7 kids in my family. I am thankful and appreciative person to God and my parents for bringing me to this world.  However, I could never imagine that life will take so hard on me at such young age. I love kids and having one or two would complete my motherhood wishes.

3 years ago, I met an amazing guy who took me for who I am and treats me with love and respect. We got married this past March. He understand my condition and stands by my side no matter what.  We are ready to create a family and have a child, but IVF treatment with donated eggs is our only option to conceive.
