My Name is Ralinda and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of becoming a mother. I imagined the feeling of holding my baby for the first time, watching them take their first steps, and hearing their laughter fill my home. But as the years passed that dream felt more and more out of reach. Just last year I was diagnosed with hirsutism. At first it was just a few extra hairs on my chin and upper lip. Then it became coarser. My self-esteem took a hit. I found myself covering up, avoiding mirrors, and spending hours on hair removal. I tried medications to stimulate ovulation, changed my diet, and even incorporated exercises in my daily routine. Some months I felt hope surge, only to be crushed again by disappointment. It became clear that In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) was our best chance. But IVF is not just emotionally exhausting it’s incredibly expensive. The cost of a single IVF cycle ranges from $12,000 to $20,000 not including medications, consultations, and additional treatments. Like many couples facing infertility we found ourselves staring at a financial wall. Insurance barely covered anything and savings could only go so far. Every dollar raised will go toward making our dream of parenthood a reality. It’s more than just money, it’s a chance for us to hold our child, to break the cycle of pain, and to bring a long-awaited miracle into our lives. To those who support us, thank you.
