Campaign Story

Hi there, thanks for stopping by! If you’re reading this I’m sure it’s because you or someone you know is struggling with your/their own infertility journey. I see you. You will be a parent one day. I’m so sorry you’re going through this difficult season.
My name is Jessica and I’m married to the most beautiful, kind hearted woman, Samantha. We have been together for 5 years, and happily married almost 2 years come September! We both work at the United States Postal Service where we met in 2017. I am also a member of the US Army National Guard.
We started our fertility journey in July of 2021. We have been trying to conceive and going through this process for exactly one year now. I’ve had to have 2 surgeries to correct a uterine abnormality along with fibroid and polyp removal. We’ve done 4 rounds of medicated cycles, 2 failed IUI’s, 1 failed AI cycle. We have currently spent 9,000 on treatment, appointments, special testing, donor sperm, surgeries, medications, and IUI procedures. And it looks like our journey is leading us to IVF which will cost almost 20,000.
Although we live in NY we are not covered through the states IVF insurance mandate because we work for the federal government. Our insurance covers nothing. The only help we get is copays for the appointments and imaging.
Sam and I have always been do it ourselves type people. We had a one bedroom apartment for a little over 2 years so we could save for a wedding and a house. We paid for a 16,000 wedding and then bought a house one year later putting down 10,000 all on our own. It is very hard for us to ask for help, but we’re in a hard place right now. We tried to do everything the right way. We got married, bought a house, and then expected to easily conceive. Obviously our plans and Gods plans don’t always align. I was pregnant and miscarried in 2016 and ever since then my dream to be a mother has intensified significantly. There’s honestly nothing I want more in this life and I would do anything to bring home my rainbow baby. Please consider helping my wife and I start our family. I thank you kindly from the bottom of my heart and I will forever be grateful for your generosity. We have also decided that whatever funds are not used for this process we will be donating to a couple going through this same heart wrenching process. Thank you again. May the Lord bless you and keep you! Good luck in your journey. You’re going to be an amazing parent! Keep the faith, our time is coming!
