Hi All! My name is Jessica and I am a 36 year old single gal living in CT. For the last 6 years I have thought so deeply about being a mother and that desire was solidified recently when my best friend gave birth to the most beautiful human I have ever met my God Daughter ❤️. When I turned 30 I would “joke” about freezing my eggs but deep down inside there was truth to what I was saying. Unfortunately my OBGYN at the time was not helpful in exploring the egg freezing process with me and assured me I had time. Fast forward 4 years later I find a new OBGYN and I am no longer in a committed relationship but still have a strong desire to be mom. My new doctor connects me to Illume Fertility where I find out about egg preservation and what it entails. I am over joyed because I feel like I have a better chance of being a mom when the time comes. So naturally I go through the steps of preparing for egg retrieval and find out the total cost and I was floored and shocked to find out that insurance covers none of it. I was crushed by this financial barrier. Since then I have been actively searching for ways to finance egg preservation with the hopes of motherhood in the future and I came across the Gift of Parenthood!
