Campaign Story

Hello! My name is Sarah and I’ve been diagnosed as unknown infertility. Just to let you know more about me, I’ve been a preschool teacher for 12 years. I’ve always been great with kids and have always wanted my own. I met my now fiancé towards the end of 2018. I was 29 at the time. We dated long distance for about 9 months before he moved here and we bought our first house. We were so excited to start our family we started right away. We got our first puppy that Thanksgiving and was just hoping that a baby would soon follow. Month after month….nothing. I went with the mantra to not stress it, it will only make it worse. So for 4 years we just waited. Never having a positive pregnancy test, just wondering what was wrong with me. I finally went and talked to my ob when I was 34 and was starting to stress. She put me on clomid and told me not to stress. It just takes time. She sent my fiancé to get a sperm analysis and it came back normal. We did this for a year. Every month for the first 4 months I went and did blood work. They always told me my levels were high and there’s a great chance just call back when I get a positive test. It never came. I was going back every 3 months to check in and see what our next steps would be. At 9 months she scheduled me a hsg and told me I have a high chance after this test. The doctor that performed the test said it almost looked like I had vaginal stenosis, it was really narrow opening. But the results my doctor received said everything was normal. After a year she sent me to a fertility doctor and did the clomid challenge and after that was told our best option for a baby would be ivf. There really was no reason that I wasn’t conceiving. So now I’m about to be 36 and started working a second job as a package handler in the middle of the night to attempt to raise enough money to try ivf. My fiancé works 7 days a week also. We want a baby. We have a wonderful home and just want to add the baby we always wanted. I’m afraid I’ll never be able to be a mother and experience motherhood. I never thought I would be 36 with still no children. Please help us realize our dream of having a baby.
