Campaign Story

Baby B Update!!

We have recently swapped fertility clinics! We are set to have a in person visit with them soon. We are hopeful to have our cycle month this summer! We still need your help to make our dreams come true! Anything helps and we are so thankful for everything everyone has done so far!

**************
Welcome to our journey! Alan was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of two. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic lung disease that is incurable. Cystic fibrosis comes with daily challenges and one challenge that it presents is starting your own family. With Alan having this disease, we have a 2% chance of conceiving naturally. After almost three years of trying with no luck, we decided to reach out for help. We were told in September that our only chance of having our own children is through IVF. Since then, we have been starting the process of IVF. We have been to several appointments already and are excited to start our first cycle in shortly after the New Year!

Although this is all very exciting, infertility comes with huge expenses. Trying to fundraise and come up with money by a certain date is very stressful. Through this we hope to be able to knock out a good bit of this burden. They have told us that $25,000 will cover everything. Anything helps and we are forever thankful!

We know that God has already gone before us and paved the way. We are excited to continue on this journey to baby Bullock!

With Love,

Alan & Raelee Bullock

    Baby B Update

At the end of the day, all we can say is thank you Jesus!🙌🏼

We had really great visits with our doctors today! Dr. Gordon and his IVF team are absolutely wonderful. I had a ultrasound and another trial transfer done today, which he was very pleased with both. This has my checklist of things completely done!

Once we wrapped things up at Rejoice Fertility, we headed over to University Urology! Previously we had been told that Alan’s procedure to retrieve sperm was going to be $5,000. Today, we found out that the cost with University Urology is less than half the cost of what we were going to be paying! With the financial burden that IVF holds over couples head, this is a huge blessing!!

As of right now, we are waiting for both of our clinics to coordinate their schedules to find a date to have Alan’s sperm retrieval done. Once this is completed, we will be able to get with our IVF team and decide when we want to have our first IVF cycle!

In December, we felt led to put a hold on this process, and felt as if we had hit a dead end and were honestly just frustrated. Thanks to friends and family for pointing us in the direction of Rejoice Fertility. Looking back now, we know that God’s plan was ultimately better and that we are in the best care and position with this clinic. The road of infertility is hard, and not very fun at times, but Alan and I are so thankful that we have our people, each other, and God to lean on. We are excited to have this process rolling again, and we absolutely cannot wait for our family to grow!!🤍🤍
