Campaign Story

1 in 8 couples. I never thought that we would be part of a statistic like this but here we are. We are one of the 1 in 8 couples struggling with infertility.

Our journey to build our family has been a bit more challenging than we would have expected 3 years ago when we first made the decision to try to bring a baby into this world. Countless months of tracking cycles, negative pregnancy tests, hoping “this next month it’ll be our turn” to constantly have our hopes crushed, we finally sought out treatment and learned we won’t ever be able to get pregnant on our own.

After a couple failed IUIs that have cost us quite a bit so far, we have a new treatment plan in place and are going to be moving forward with IVF. If you’ve never had to lay awake at night wondering where you could save money or how you could cut things out to be able to move forward with your dream of being parents, bless you. Count yourself lucky. Continuing this fight will not be easy, nor will it be cheap, but with the generous support of friends, family, and even strangers, Brent and I may one day have our dreams of being parents become a reality.

We’re not people who like to ask for help. We don’t like to burden others with our stresses. But we’re reaching out now asking for any and all help that we can get.
