Campaign Story

Our names are Abby and Brandon. We got married in June of 2021 and wanted to start a family soon after that. All I have ever wanted was to be a mom.
We tried for a year on our own, but something just wasn’t working. We decided to seek help from an OBGYN. After many tests we were all stumped, I did have irregular cycles, but overall everything looked fine, she suggested we both try to get as healthy as we could and keep trying, but this time with the help of medication. A few months later we conceived our baby. It was the happiest day of our lives.
Unfortunately we lost our baby at 7 weeks. At least we knew things were working now… right? Over a year later, many months of trigger shots, medications, almost weekly appointments, blood draws, ultrasounds, and “timed intercourse” as they like to call it and still nothing. Finally we were referred to a specialized fertility doctor.
An $1,100 appointment later, I was diagnosed with PCOS. This means that my body does not produce the hormones it is supposed to correctly, and it is more difficult to become pregnant. We were told our best option would be IVF. This would be no problem I thought. I am not scared of needles or going under, I would do anything to be able to be the mother I have always longed to be and make Brandon the amazing father I know he will be.
The problem part came when the cost was broken down to us. It would be about $4,000 for medications to “feed” my ovaries to make as many eggs as possible, then $14,000 for them to be surgically removed from me, fertilized and tested for genetic abnormalities, and finally $4,500 for one to be implanted in me.
The one “good” part of this is when we wanted to have another kid, we would only have to pay for implantation and the eggs would forever be 29, the age I am now.
It would be so worth it, if we just had that kind of money.
This is the part where I ask. I am asking you to help us make what I guarantee will be the most loved and cherished baby there ever was.
I have never asked for money from people or favors, or anything. I am hereby cashing in all of the kindness, and paybacks and everything I have ever done for anyone and asking you to help me pay for this IVF. Any little bit will be appreciated, and our baby will know how much it was loved by every person before it was even made.
