Campaign Story
Hey! We’re the Simmons’, Aric and Shay. We’ve been together 7 years, married 6. We started our family building journey a little over 3 years ago. In 2019, Shay found out that she had a condition called PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome. PCOS is caused by an imbalance of reproductive hormones. The hormonal imbalance creates problems in the ovaries. The ovaries make the egg that is released each month as part of a healthy menstrual cycle. With PCOS, the egg may not develop as it should or it may not be released during ovulation as it should be.
We have endured 6 failed IUIs and a miscarriage during the past 3 years. We are now preparing to undergo IVF. We are thankful that our medical insurance pays for the majority of the procedures (i.e. egg retrieval, embryo transfer, etc.). However, it does not help pay for any of the medications needed. The cost of medication for 1 IVF cycle is approximately $4,000. The balance we’re responsible to pay for the IVF procedure itself is approximately $1,000.
We understand that if it is in God’s plan for us to start a family, then it will be. We are asking you to join us in prayer and help us bring our little miracle(s) into the world by donating to our fundraiser. We would be blessed and eternally grateful to and for you if you can help. Medications Ordered!
Hey everyone! Thank you again for your donations thus far! We truly appreciate every one of you! As promised, We plan to keep you updated along this journey. As of today, all medications and injections have been ordered. We are set to start the process for egg retrieval on July 31st. Which means hopefully we will do our embryo transfer in late August or September. We love you guys! Thank you for being on this journey with us to meet Baby Simmons!

Medications and injections started!
Hey family! We\\'ve started the oral medications and injections for the egg retrieval! Currently, there are 46 follicles that can potentially mature into eggs! Embryo Transfer!
