Campaign Story

Hi everyone!

We are Nick and Kelly, and we have been riding the rollercoaster of infertility.

We have been on this journey for months and have decided that it’s time to share our story with all of you. We long to be parents and dream of having a baby of our own. This will not be easy – we need IVF and a gestational carrier in order to bring our baby into the world.

I (Kelly) was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease a few years ago. During that process, I was given the heartbreaking news that I would never be medically cleared or physically able to carry a pregnancy. Nick and I have carefully considered all of our options and made the decision to pursue surrogacy.

We’ve already invested so much into this journey – emotionally and financially – and the costs keep piling on. There’s not much available in the way of financial support for surrogacy/ infertility options. Our health insurance pays nothing towards the cost. We have applied for grants and drawings with no success. We have been cutting back on our spending and doing whatever we can to try and tackle this financial challenge.

It’s hard for us to ask for help and we have struggled with how to ask. We were afraid to do a fundraiser for fear that people would think we were just asking for a handout. But this journey is so above and beyond a handout. We cannot comprehend how much people have to pay to start a family. We cannot believe the lack of financial assistance by our provided benefits. This is us asking for help and for support …support so that we can bring our tiny human into the world and love them with all of our hearts!

Thanks for reading and thanks for joining us on our path to parenthood! We can’t wait for our little to be here with us and to meet their village!

“Infertility does not mean you’re not meant to have children. It means your children will have strong parents who have learned and can teach them how to overcome hardship.”

Blessings to you on this journey- my friend’s daughter was a surrogate twice and her Son did IVF twice- the second time the egg split ( surprise)! I’ve heard about it from both ways and there are definitely hills to climb, but you will be awesome parents. Best wishes on your journey! Kisses?
