Campaign Story

My name is Rex and I have been married to my wife, Kate, for a little over a year now. We are both special education teachers and that is how we met. Kate is diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Kate underwent three IUI’s before we decided to use our savings on IVF and PGS testing in January 2022. We ended up with five embryos that made it to the blastocyst stage and were sent off for PGS. We were excited to set up our embryo transfer date, but were heartbroken when we were told that none of our embryos were viable.

Our doctor did tell us that we had a 35%-40% chance of getting an embryo we could transfer if we decided to try IVF and PGS again. We are blessed to have a large family that is full of love and have 11 nieces and nephews. It makes my heart happy to see the joy that those kids bring to Kate and the way she loves them. She loves her students the same way. It’s how I fell in love with her in the first place. I am so blessed to be able to share my life with Kate and am hopeful that our life journey together will include the gift of parenthood.
