Campaign Story

Hello, all! My name is Taylor Kennecartea, and myself and my wife, Kaitlin, have decided to take the next big step in our life… opening a food truck! Just kidding, we can’t cook. So we decided to take the NEXT biggest step, which is having a baby!

We are so lucky to already have so many children in our life. We have a son from Kaitlin’s past relationship who is absolutely wonderful, and we live with another little one, Cora, our niece. Having these amazing kids around has given us a lot of practice in being parents, and has only reinforced our desire to add another to our very happy family.

Unfortunately, having a baby via reciprocal IVF can be very expensive, even if you have coupon! We’ve gone through the usual routes for funding, like grants, but we have been having difficulty qualifying. Because we are an LGBT family, we don’t meet most of the criteria to apply for the grants because we don’t fall under the umbrella of being considered traditionally infertile.

And that’s where you guys come in! We need to move forward with the process this year in order to meet our goal of having another child. We are fundraising in as many ways possible(stay tuned for some of our events we are planning) so that the loan that we will need to apply for will be as small as possible. Anything helps!
