Campaign Story
For more 25 years, I have kept a list of baby names. I update them from time to time, but my intention of being a parent has always been part of my life’s plan. I am many times over multiple uncle and godparent to many kids and counting.
As of September 2025, there are 8 embryos ready for transfer. Two incredible persons, both known to me, volunteered to be the egg donor and the gestational carrier. We are completing the medical steps for a have the first transfer in the coming months – you’re support is deeply welcomed and appreciated at this time.
The path has has been long and incredibly dedicated. For one, the list of baby names has grown from 20 to 67!
Ten years ago, I started a private surrogacy journey as a single person. The intended surrogate and the egg donor were both friends. The process stopped for personal reasons, but since it was private, I did a lot of research about IVF and surrogacy.
In the past 3 years, I have done more reading on all aspects of the surrogacy process – financial, legal and psychological. I also walked through the ups and downs of an IVF process with a friend – starting from hormone shots and clinic visits to several failed transfer attempts. I gained an understanding of this type of pregnancy journey – many steps of which surrogates will also go through.
I attended a Men Having Babies (MHB) conference in September 2022, where I was able to hear and speak to experts and intended parents as well as parents who have been through the process.
The best part of the conference for me was meeting surrogates. Wow. It was incredibly emotional for me to hear from these angels why they are surrogates. Yes, there are many medical and legal considerations with surrogacy which I have researched, but for me the missing part was meeting the incredible people who are part of a surrogacy journey, most importantly surrogates themselves. I was often speechless, overwhelmed and filled with honor hearing their stories.
Surrogates give so much and I worried that as a single person, I would not be many surrogate’s first choice. I get it. At the conference, I was reassured and inspired to learn from other single parents and surrogates about this particular journey.
It’s amazing today there are 8 embryos and a fabulous gestational carrier. Thank you for supporting the lifelong desire to be a parent. I deeply appreciate it!Â
