Campaign Story

Hi! My name is Madisyn and my husband is Kyle. We are both 28 years old. We’ve been married for going on 8 years now. We have 2 wonderful little boys, Kyson (5) and Kolston (2). I have PCOS so conceiving has always been a struggle for me. We lost our first pregnancy at 16 weeks after TTC for a year. We named him Holden. After I recovered, we started ovulation induction cycles with Letrozole and Ovidrel. After 3 rounds, I was pregnant with Kyson. Once he turned 2, we decided to go back to a fertility clinic to start treatment again, same meds and same doses. 2 cycles later, I was pregnant with Kolston. Just before his 2nd birthday, we decided to start up treatment again. This time however was not as simple. I was taking the same meds with the same doses but it wasn’t working. We had 5 failed OI cycles and 3 failed IUIs. We are experiencing male factor infertility now on top of my fertility issues. Right before our appointment to start IVF, we found out we were pregnant. We were ecstatic and felt like we beat the odds! Unfortunately his heart stopped beating at 16 weeks. I had insurance through my employer to help cover the cost of IVF but I left my job to focus on my pregnancy. We now have to start all over. My husband is active duty military and unfortunately, like many others insurances, IVF is not a covered treatment. I’m not ready to throw in the towel for this last baby. I know many would have given up already. I am someone who always dreamed about being a wife and a mom when I grew instead of the typical answers (doctor, teacher, astronaut, dancer, etc). I know this last baby is meant to complete our family. We just have to get them here first! 💕
