Campaign Story

As most of our family and friends are aware Jon and I have been trying since July 2018 to get pregnant. We tried naturally then with ovulation medication and vitamins/supplements for 2.5 years. Jon was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor last year which put things on hold while he started medication. In Fall 2022 we started ovulation medication again with ultrasound monitoring and timed cycles, 4 rounds of that showed no results. We then switched to ovulation medication with ultrasound monitoring and IUI, 3 rounds of that have shown no results as well. At this time we have decided our next step is to move on to IVF.

Unfortunately, the cost of these treatments hasn’t gotten any less. Insurance companies in Michigan are not required to offer fertility coverage and even if they do, it doesn’t cover much in most cases. That means most of these treatments have high out of pocket costs. Because of this we cannot afford IVF in Michigan and instead will be traveling to CNY fertility in New York for IVF as they offer the best prices in the country.

We hate the idea of asking for money but we are hoping with a little love, hope, generosity and science we can make our dreams come through. We will be using this money towards procedure, medications and travel costs. Thank you to everyone in advance for all the support.
