Campaign Story

My name is Jalecia, and my dream of becoming a mom has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. I used to tell my mom how I’d be a nurse who never let work stop me from being there for my kids—picking them up from school, making sure they felt safe and loved. I always believed I had time.

But my body had a different plan. After years of pain, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis, a journey that led to two surgeries to remove fibroids and, heartbreakingly, the removal of my tubes. In an instant, the path to motherhood I’d always imagined narrowed to one possibility: IVF.

Just as I was trying to gather the strength and resources to begin treatment, life delivered another devastating blow. My mom was diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. All I wanted was for her to be here—to see me become a mother, to hold her grandkids, to share in the joy she taught me to believe in. But she passed away before I could even start my IVF journey, and her absence has left a hole in my heart that only hope can fill.

Now, I’m turning to you with humility and hope. The cost of IVF is significant, and I can’t do this alone. Your support would go directly toward the medical procedures, medications, and appointments that stand between me and the chance to carry on my mom’s legacy of love.

By contributing to my fundraiser, you’re not just helping fund a procedure—you’re helping rebuild a dream and honoring the memory of an amazing woman who believed in me completely. Thank you for considering being a part of my journey. With your help, I pray I can finally welcome the family I’ve always longed for.
