Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Kyra and this is my husband Rob. We’ve been together going on ten years and we are looking forward to starting growing our family. We have come a long way with trying to start our family and we have constantly hit bump after bump in this never ending journey. We are originally form Michigan and have travelled from state to state looking for help with having children. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2018 and the only help I received was a doctor telling me, “it’ll go away on it own.” Because I’m not an expert of course I took the doctors word for it, but here we are five years later and the endometriomas on my ovaries have not gone away. We’ve been to Georgia and Texas to seek help with my diagnosis with no luck and on top of it all Covid-19 came by and put a hold on our plans. Now that we are living in Illinois close to family and a support system, we have found fertility doctors that can help us start our family. Right now our doctor is suggesting surgery to remove the endometriosis and proceed with IVF treatments. Although insurance helps cover the surgery, it doesn’t help pay for the IVF treatments. We have been saving money to pay for the treatments and seeking help from family that are willing to help but we are still in need of financial help. This is out last resort for seeking help to start our family hope that you can help fulfill our dream of becoming parents.
