Campaign Story

Hi, my name is Joey, and Husbands name is Malik.

We are young newlyweds and have endured so much struggle and disappointment. Joey is diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, as well as a failed drilling surgery. Malik has low sperm count, as well as low morphology and low motility. The combination of these medical diagnosis have made it very difficult to conceive naturally. It has been a very long, stressful, and emotional journey for them already, but they are young and determined to have a family!

Joey & Malik have sought out the expertise of Dr. Simckes and IVF is their best option for conception. This process is extremely expensive and they have been given an estimate of $12,000 to $15,000. No one likes asking for help, especially monetarily but everyone deserves to have their dreams come true!!

We appreciate any and all donations as every penny will get them one step closer to fulfilling their dreams. We understand if your unable to contribute & would ask that you keep Joey & Malik in your thoughts & prayers.

We appreciate you & your thoughtfulness!

Update: Joey and Malik were able to pursue ivf in September 2022! This ivf cycle resulted in a pregnancy and they were overjoyed. Unfortunately, at about 6 weeks, they miscarried due to a blood circulation malfunction. After undergoing a d&c, their only hope is to try again with another transfer. The cost of the second transfer is $7,000, and after throwing everything they had into the first round, and paying out of pocket for the d&c, finding the funds for round 2 seems very out of reach for them.
