Campaign Story

My name is Becca McIlwaine. My husband Neil and I have been trying for a baby for about 1.5 years with no success. We both have dreamed about becoming parents for a very long time. My husband has always dreamed of being a dad and I know he would be such an amazing father. He is the kindest and most compassionate man I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He loves me so much and has been so supportive of me during this journey even though I know he is struggling as well. He never makes me feel guilty or like a failure for not being able to give him a child. He always reassures me that he is with me to the end even if we can never have a baby. Any money would go to helping make his (and my) dream a reality. We are looking at starting IVF as we have done testing and other less invasive treatment with no success. Financially right now I don’t know if we can truly afford IVF without going into a large amount of debt. We always dreamed of a large family so right now we are looking to do egg retrieval and then hopefully get multiple embryos that we can then use in multiple FETs to have our family. We also feel like we are slowly running out of time to have the family that we dreamed of due to age. Thank you for reading our story and if you are willing to donate, we would be extremely grateful.
