Campaign Story

We are Meghan and Julie, and we are looking for have our rainbow baby. We have always known we wanted to be moms but wanted to meet the perfect person to go on the adventure of motherhood with. We met in 2019, started dating in 2020, married in 2022, and welcomed our son, Landon, later in 2022.
Getting to become moms to Landon was a gift and process! As a lesbian couple, we needed a sperm donor and fertility treatments. After purchasing multiple vials of donor sperm, three failed IUI procedures, changing the donor, and purchasing more donor sperm; we became pregnant with Landon. 38 weeks later, Landon was born via emergency c-section due to placenta abruption during labor.
Landon joined his two moms and his two dog siblings.

We both grew up with multiple siblings, and knew we wanted at least one more baby. After getting our footing as new moms to Landon, we were ready to go through the process again because we want to have a sibling for a Landon. After one failed IUI, we got a positive pregnancy test on the next IUI, and with twins.

Sadly, we lost one embryo to a miscarriage. The second embryo implanted in Meghan’s ovary and was not viable due to being an ectopic pregnancy. We made the difficult decision to medically terminate, so Meghan wouldn’t lose one of her ovaries. After waiting three months, they decided to try another IUI, but it failed.

Julie and Meghan are now facing a ticking clock because of advanced maternal age and the next pregnancy will be considered a geriatric pregnancy. We were also only able to purchase two more vials of sperm (from the same donor we used to conceive Landon), and only IVF vials were available from the cryobank. We are now moving forward with the costly process of IVF and are crowdsourcing to help procure addition funds to aid in covering the cost of IVF and the medications.

Any support is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Meghan & Julie
