Campaign Story

Hey Friends & Family,

As many of you may have known, we’ve been going through our fertility journey for the last few months in hopes of expanding our family and having a baby (babies) of our own. Unfortunately, our insurances do not extend IVF coverage for transgender people/couples. Knowing this, we sacrificed as much as possible and managed to start our first IVF cycle early January. Sadly, the outcome wasn’t at all what we had expected and hoped for and we discovered Kevin has an egg deficiency which resulted in only being able to retrieve 3 eggs. Of these 3, only 2 fertilized, and 1 embryo survived. We then had genetic testing done and the results determined some complications. Our chances of a viable pregnancy with this embryo are very low and our doctors are recommending we try IVF again, however, the costs just seem so out of reach. We are not people who like asking for handouts, but we know that sometimes asking for help isn’t a bad thing. We really do appreciate anything you can contribute and will continue to share our journey through this. Love you all!
