Campaign Story

My name is Melissa and I have been married to my wife, Tamara, for 6 years. Our fertility journey started in 2017, when we learned through 7 failed rounds of IUI’s that my fallopian tubes do not work, making IVF the only possibility for us to build a family. In 2018, we were accepted into a study through UW Medicine and provided with two IVF cycles. Through this, we gave birth to our BEAUTIFUL daughter, jessi. Jessi is almost 4. She loves singing “concerts” with her moms, playing basketball at her YMCA, and wants a little sibling so badly. We scraped together enough for one cycle, which failed. We cannot afford another but deeply want to build our family by one more, giving our girl the gift of a sibling. We have no support from our families, both daughters of pastors who would rather were unable. Anything helps.. this last failed round felt devastating as we only had the one chance, knowing if we didn’t garner support elsewhere that we lose our chance of adding to our family at all. We are a strong, diverse, loving family who just needs some help if it is in your heart to give. Thank you for considering.
