Campaign Story

My name is Tenise M. I am 31 years of age, I currently reside in Alaska. I am currently on my journey to fulfill my dream of becoming a mother. I have suffered several miscarriages, from 2016-2021. With every miscarriage it was a part of me that went with the loss of that baby. I allowed myself time to heal physically, mentally and emotionally. It is now 2023 and I am ready to try again at full force. I have many things that are hindering me from making my dreams come true, one being diagnosed with PCOS, another financial aspect of fertility treatments. I have PCOS, which are cyst on my ovaries. It doesn’t stop me from having an unsuccessful IVF but it makes it difficult. The financial aspect is why I am here today, IVF is not cheap by any means. I am Active duty Army and unfortunately the military does not cover any fertility coverage. It is hardship that many women never get the chance to even attempt due to the financial obligation. I am working hard everyday to not only build the finances I need, but prepare my mind, and body for this process. I have to have faith, and know that I will become a mother, I will succeed in this struggle called IVF. I am beyond grateful for those that take the moment to read this, even if you do not donate. Please keep me and my journey in your prayers and thoughts.
