Hello everyone, my name is Shamieka Norman, and I’m here to share a deeply personal journey with you all. At 35 years old, my greatest dream is to become a mother. However, my path to parenthood has been fraught with challenges. In 2021, I was diagnosed with fibroids, a condition that has significantly impacted my ability to conceive naturally. Despite undergoing surgery to remove the fibroids, the journey to conception has remained elusive. But I refuse to give up on my dream of motherhood. For as long as I can remember, I’ve longed to experience the joys of motherhood. Every woman’s journey to parenthood is unique, and mine has been marked by both hope and heartache. The diagnosis of fibroids was a devastating blow, but I faced it with courage and determination. The surgery was a necessary step, but it hasn’t yielded the results I had hoped for. Yet, amidst the setbacks, my desire to become a mother burns brighter than ever. As I navigate the challenges of fertility treatment, I’m faced with a daunting financial burden. The costs associated with assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and other fertility treatments, are substantial. Unfortunately, these expenses are beyond my reach alone. That’s why I’m reaching out to you, my community, for support. I humbly ask for your help in making my dream of motherhood a reality.
