Campaign Story

My name is Cassandra and 5 years ago I was in a relationship with a man I thought I’d spend the rest of my life with. We were together for 5 years and had two children together. While pregnant with our last child, he advised me that he had no interest in having any more children. He asked me to tie my tubes and because I thought this was a decision being made with the person I had planned to spend the rest of my life with, I agreed. 8 months after our daughter was born and my tubes were tied, he left me. I always felt that if I met the right person and they wanted children, that I would have my tubes untied. Well today, I found out that that’s not possible because they removed 50% of both my tubes without me being aware, so there’s no chance that they can ever be reconnected. My only chance at getting pregnant is to go through IVF. I am now engaged to the love of my life and he has no children. Although, he is happy regardless, I just feel like less of a woman. I’m only 27 years old and I really had high hopes that I was going to be able to untie my tubes. I am hoping that by the time our wedding comes and goes, we will have enough money saved to start the IVF process. If you could just donate $5, it would be greatly appreciated.
