Campaign Story

My name is Skylar and my husband’s name is Nick. We have been trying to conceive naturally for the last 3 years. With no luck and after 6 doctors in multiple states we finally were sent to an infertility specialist. Dr. Waldman has been able to help us in so many ways and now it’s time to start our journey. We know what it will take for us to become parents. Due to my Factor V Lieden, PCOS, and family history of female cancers and a positive BRACA test IVF is the only option for us. The procedures, medication, and monitoring and mandatory PGT testing the estimated cost is $25,000 which must be paid in full on August 1, 2023. I am a full time psychology major, I work a full time job and Nick is in the Navy and works on helicopters. When we moved to Florida we got a home that is plenty big to start a family. I know we would be great parents. However, we do not have that kind of money so we have decided to apply for grants and start a fundraiser. Within the next few months my mom will be opening her custom furniture business up and all proceeds will go towards the funding for baby Wilken to be conceived.
