Hi there! My name is Jaime and I have been navigating this fertility journey for about 11 years. My husband and I have a son, Aiden, who we conceived and had 11 years ago. Unfortunately due to a medical misdiagnosis he was born stillborn and we did not get to keep him here with us. However, my son has given me to courage to explore more into my fertility health. After some time I have finally found some doctors who have found some answers for me. My OBGYN ordered and recognized immediately that I had elevated thyroid levels. Then my endocrinologist has been working with me for 4 years to heal my thyroid function. After 4 years and a now functioning thyroid I still have wonky hormones. The silver lining in all of this to know that there is a reason and there is a causation. When I was 5 I was diagnosed with leukemia and underwent invasive radiation and chemotherapy treatments. At the age of 34 I am now being told that I have extremely low ovarian reserve and need an egg donor. Though this news is not the best news to hear my specialist told me that my body is healthy and can have a baby with the assistance of an egg donor. My husband and I are seeking assistance from the community to help us finance our IVF process. We appreciate your time in reading about our story and we appreciate your donation.
