Campaign Story

My name is Derek Vance. I currently live in a small town in south central Kentucky. I am a veteran. I served for 10 years and 2 months in the Army. I’ve been to Iraq twice. I lived in South Korea for 2 years. I finally found the love I’ve been looking for for far too long. I have waited until I found her to conceive a child. We have been trying for many years now, but have been unsuccessful. My heart breaks for my better half. She would be a fantastic mother. That’s the one thing she wants in this world more than anything else. A child to love and watch grow through all the phases of life. I want that too. We are currently doing fertility treatments in Nashville, Tennessee. We drive the 3 hours to Nashville for every single appointment. We have drained ourselves to the bone financially to make our dream come true. All we want is a child to love and to nurture. I feel so helpless because the one thing that she wants the most in this world, is something I have been unsuccessful in giving her. She had surgery done already to unblock one of her tubes. This whole process has really been draining on the both of us. Physically and financially drained. All I’m asking is for just a little relief financially for us. We don’t know what else to do. And we are so close, I can feel it. I can’t proceed to the next phase of our fertility stuff until I make another payment. Which is why I’m here. Doing this. I’m not good at asking for help, but I’m asking now because we don’t know what else to do. Thank you to anybody that decides to help us. You have no idea how much of a blessing you would be for us. Will you please help us to make our dream a reality? Thank you so much.
