Their Story 💛

My daughter and her husband have been quietly hoping and praying for their bundle of joy since they were married in 2019. They are a kind and loving couple, always willing to show up for others with open hearts. They share a deep love for one another and trust that their story is still unfolding in its own time. By supporting this fundraiser, you are helping give them the chance to build the family they have long hoped and prayed for.

Landen and Kimberly have been together for almost 12 years and married for six. They began trying for Baby Cavin in August of 2019 and spent several years trying to conceive naturally, leaning on faith and hope through each season. In the summer of 2022, they sought guidance through a local fertility clinic, praying for clarity and direction.

Their fertility journey began with Ovulation Induction (OI). The first cycle brought joyful news with a positive pregnancy test, followed by the heartbreak of an early loss. Even in that grief, they held onto hope and continued with two additional OI cycles without success.

Next, they moved forward with Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). Once again, the first attempt brought hope with another positive test, but it too ended in an early loss. After two more IUI cycles, they became pregnant again and reached eight weeks—the furthest they had ever come—before experiencing another heartbreaking miscarriage. Kimberly later required a D&C when her body was unable to complete the miscarriage on its own.

After so much loss, IVF was recommended as their best path forward. While IVF offered hope, it also brought emotional and financial challenges. With the help of a local grant through their fertility clinic, Kimberly and Landen were able to begin the IVF process and were blessed with four embryos, now frozen and waiting. Unfortunately, they were unable to continue to the transfer stage due to the cost.

During the egg retrieval process, despite being on birth control, Kimberly became pregnant once more, but this pregnancy also ended very early. Due to the financial strain, they made the difficult decision to pause fertility treatments earlier in 2025, even though they still have embryos waiting.

During the pause, in March of 2025, Kimberly became pregnant naturally for the first time. What began with renewed hope quickly became a life-threatening emergency. The pregnancy was ectopic and located in her right fallopian tube. Kimberly lost her tube and nearly lost her life. This experience brought on unexpected medical and surgical expenses, adding further financial strain during an already difficult season. Through it all, they are deeply grateful for God’s protection and the support that carried them through.

Since beginning fertility treatments, Kimberly and Landen have experienced:

3 OI cycles
3 IUI cycles
IVF resulting in 4 frozen embryos
5 pregnancy losses, including a life-threatening ectopic pregnancy

Through every season of this journey, Landen and Kimberly have continued to move forward with faith, trusting that their story is not finished. More than anything, they long for the chance to welcome a child into their home and hearts.

Any support—whether through a donation, sharing their story, or keeping them in your prayers and thoughts—is deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read their journey and for helping carry them one step closer to their dream.
