Campaign Story

Hi There! We are the Clairmont family! Kevin and I (Megan) met later in life after both going through very different but difficult adult lives. Kevin was widowed and I had been battling severe Crohn’s for several years. We fell in love quickly and both knew we wanted 2 children. I also knew and told Kevin up front that due to my Crohn’s and over 20 surgeries at the time that my Fallopian tubes were blocked and we would have to ultilize IVF if we were going to make that dream a reality. We got married a little after a year of dating and decided to sell our first home to pursue our dream of a family. We did one round of IVF (The day before COVID shut the world down) and we were overjoyed we were pregnant. It was a difficult time for the world but we had such hope for our future!! Kevin faced several layoffs and over time we had to use our second round money to make it through everyday life. We have been told our best chances at bringing a second child into our family and a sibling for our daughter Lucy is the next 6 months. We are turning to our family and friends for help. Something we never wanted to have to do. But the clock is literally and figuratively ticking and we have no other choice. We are hoping that all of you understand and see in your hearts to help in any way you can. If you are unable to help, a prayer, good thoughts or whatever your beliefs allow that you send that our way!! We love our little Lucy so much and want to complete our family. Thank you!
