Campaign Story

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read our story.

It’s Yuho and Michael here.
We are a 35 year old married couple who moved from Australia to the United States two years ago. We have been on a long and difficult fertility journey for the past four years, which began in Australia and has continued here in the U.S.

During this time, we have experienced two heartbreaking miscarriages. After extensive medical testing, I was diagnosed with a chromosomal translocation. Because of this condition, our doctors have strongly recommended IVF with PGT-SR testing, which is essential to give us the best chance of a healthy pregnancy. Unfortunately, this also makes our treatment significantly more expensive than standard IVF.

Despite these challenges, we continue to move forward with hope and determination, placing our trust in the advanced and experienced fertility care available here in the United States.

We are far from our families, with both sides living in different countries, and we do not have a strong support nearby. Throughout this journey, it has truly been only the two of us, supporting each other every step of the way.

I previously worked as a kindergarten teacher, and my husband currently works as a barber for children with special care needs. We both have a deep love for children and have always dreamed of becoming parents ourselves.

More than anything, we hope to be able to share the joy of our child with our parents and families, and to finally make them grandparents.

From the moment we met, my husband has never changed. He has always loved me, put me first, and treated me with so much kindness and consideration. I truly feel incredibly lucky to have found such a compassionate and loving partner. At the same time, I carry a deep sadness within me, because due to my genetic condition, there are moments when I fear I may not be able to give him the child he has always dreamed of. This thought is painful and difficult to carry, but it has also made me even more grateful for his unwavering support.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 (IVF freeze-all: $13,125.00 + PGT-SR: $5,960) to help cover the costs of our IVF treatment. Any support, no matter the amount, would mean the world to us. Even simply sharing our story would be a tremendous help and deeply appreciated.
