Campaign Story

My name is Basebenzile Khawula, and I am 28 years old. I am reaching out with humility and hope during one of the most difficult times my family has faced.
My husband lost his job four months ago, and despite our best efforts to stay afloat, we have fallen three months behind on rent. We have now been asked to move out and are facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing our home while caring for our 1-year-old child.
We are raising $1,400 to help secure stable housing and cover our most urgent needs as we work to rebuild our lives. We are doing everything we can to get back on our feet, but right now we need a helping hand.
