Campaign Story

My name is Cecilia Valencia, and I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogrens Disease, Fibromyalgia and Raynard’s syndrome. All are auto immune diseases with Arthritis being the number one leading medical diagnoses in the world and also the number one overlooked medical condition in the world. RA (rheumatoid arthritis) is an illness that attacks healthy tissues in your body, and when it attacks healthy tissues that believes they are sick tissue. Unfortunately, having multiple autoimmune diseases has made my journey to giving birth to my own child come to a very abrupt end. However, I am a fighter and I am not wanting to give up on a chance for a family of our own.

My life long partner, Malorie Ramsey, who has a history of clotting from thoracic outlet syndrome (which has been resolved through emergency surgery), this has caused my partner to only show 8 follicles. A healthy female should be able to produce 20 follicles in order to have multiple opportunities for possible embryos.

As we embark on reciprocal IVF and retrieve Malorie’s eggs, she is required to go through extensive hormones for her body to create more follicles to make this a possibility for us. Therefore, we still have faith in both of us being a mother. I am asking to find it in your hearts to consider donating to our fundraiser. We are seeking assistance with the financial burden of reciprocal IVF and egg extraction, and we would be honored if you could help us.
