Campaign Story

My name is Cheyanne. I was diagnosed with PCOS and I have been struggling to get pregnant for quite a few years. I was referred by my OBGYN to a fertility specialist after she exhausted her resources at the local hospital. She referred me to West Virginia University Medicine for further treatment. West Virginia University had me on over 12 rounds of Letrozole, I was also taking Actos with it and Provera and finally had a mature egg. The doctor wanted me to do a trigger shot and unfortunately it failed. I was on the suggested over the counter vitamins and different supplements. After countless failed attempts and seeing countless negative pregnancy test we are now trying IVF treatment but, with IVF comes higher medical bills and we have exhausted our funds. We will be traveling to New York from Ohio and not only need the money for the treatments but would need extra money for the traveling and hotel. As I am writing this all I can think about is our journey and the feeling that we may be at the finish line to finally have our little bundle of miracle joy. We have over come so much in this journey that we can’t quite now. We will get through any and all obstacles to be able to get our baby. I know nothing about PCOS until I was diagnosed with it. It’s heartbreaking to see how many people it truly affects. Thank you for taking time to read my story.
