Campaign Story

Hello! My name is Candace and my husbands name is Thomas. We got married back in 2017 and shortly after joined the Air Force. After a few deployments and getting our feet on the ground we decided it was time to start a family. Shortly into our journey we found out that I had PCOS. This made it significantly more difficult to conceive but, after many rounds of fertility treatments and 2 rounds of IUI we finally conceived! I carried our beautiful daughter Onyx Jane for 24 weeks until I went into spontaneous pre-term labor. She was in the NICU for just over a month before she gained her angel wings and joined Jesus. This was the hardest thing my husband and I have ever been though. Then, earlier this year we started the fertility treatments again and about 5 months into treatments my doctor noticed my cervix wasn’t healthy looking. After doing some biopsies I was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. I have under gone a hysterectomy with more treatments to follow.

This last year has been harder than we ever expected. Our last hope at biological children is through surrogacy and this is where we ask for your help. Surrogacy is far more expensive than we thought and there is no way we can do this alone. Anything you can give will help. We appreciate all the support .
